What is the Internet Creative Directory?
The Internet Creative Directory is an interactive web community
on the Internet's WWW specifically designed for the Creative Industries.
It is a diverse Website with many areas that "cross-over" from one industry
segment to another. We are creating "Stages" that will cater to specific
aspects of each industry. You will access custom advanced features such
as "Live" bulletin boards, discussion areas, Virtual Venues(tm), chat rooms,
file transfer, newsletter publishing facilities, and many more areas. Due
to popular demand we are redesigning it for Consumer use.

Location, Location, Location! The ICD is the premier creative directory on the WWW. It is one of the largest of its kind and certainly the most comprehensive. We had a "soft release" of the Website almost three years ago. We Beta Tested it for well over a year and a half. It had quickly become a popular location for planning events, entertainers, or learning about meeting planning. As its popularity grows so does the site. There is fierce competition to attract potential customers and clients to your Website, by making your site available at a popular location will allow more traffic to see you. You can also sponsor the ICD for optimum exposure. By sponsoring a section you will be placed in the "spotlight" and be available to EVERYONE visiting the ICD! The ICD is currently in its 3rd re-design.
So if I decide to use the ICD what can I expect?The ICD will constantly grow as its industries do. As more Industry associates join the fun, your potential for success does too. Absolutely! Even though we only offer service in the State of California, you can subscribe to an Internet "Dial Up" account from a Internet Service Provider (ISP) in your area. Because we have been active on the Internet for several years we have a cultured list of professional service providers all over the U.S. that have proven themselves. I`ve heard it`s important to have your own Domain Name, can you help me with this?Yes, we have done hundreds of Domain Name searches for our customers.
We save the searches for future reference. Many of them relate to the ICD
industries. This makes the search and filing of your requests more efficient.
We do not go through any third party companies to register Domain Names,
we go directly through the Internic (Internet's Domain assignment organization).
If we create your Website we will discount your Domain Name fee. Do you
know what a domain name is? If not, read on.
A Domain Name is a specific name which you choose to use as your "Address"
or URL (Uniform Resource Locator) on the Internet. It looks like
this: "www.YourName.com". It will help you to identify yourself
to anyone who sees your address. You must sign up by having a company
correctly filling out a form, assigning your domain name servers (by alpha
and numerical measures), and registering it through a main Internet Server.
What costs are associated with the ICD and Domain Names?
It doesn't cost anything to participate in the ICD. Yes,

Domain Names cost $70 you pay this to the Internic (the first two years
of registration) and a $50 administration fee which goes to register through
a server. Any hosting fees are extra.
The main benefit to anyone participating in the ICD is traffic; thousands of people coming to one spot on the global Internet because they are looking for products and services like yours. They are your colleagues and associates. They are your coporate client, customer, your consumer. All members of the ICD are created equal. You simply become a member by registering when you first visit the site. Once you register you will be informed of the opportunities at the ICD. Some of these will include prizes, give-aways, free or highly discounted advertising opportunities, contests - both Internet wide and within the ICD, special site promotions, marketing your organization on the road with a "Featured Site" sponsorship, and many other sponsorship packages and alliances. We do offer discounts on multiple link purchases as well as discounts for reciprocal linking (links from our site to your site and our logo placed on your site back to the ICD). Remember, to list your company it is absolutely FREE. If you have different departments or divisions you should list these too. One of our goals is to help create a commonwealth of professionals made up by the industries represented in the ICD.
