Brian Williams of ABC News asked Bush why the Iraqis didn't welcome the US invaders with flowers and open arms, as he had promised. "We were welcomed; it just wasn't peaceful" Bush replied.

"The candidate who leaps to conclusions without knowing the facts, is not someone you want as your commander-in-chief"
Al Franken said this is "the day that will live in irony." Our commander-in-chief who leaped into a war without any facts, would lead us to what conclusion?

The War on Terror is an unwinnable war, said our commander-in-chief. The next day he says he meant that it was an unconventional war.

Taxing the rich, Bush says, "is an unworkable policy, because they just cheat on their taxes anyway!"

Wow; so let me understand this one. We aren't doing anything to stop tax cheaters, and that's OK. I, George Dubya Bush, have done nothing about that, and that's fine.

And we have stimulated the economy to provide all this growth, by letting the rich keep all that tax money, which they don't pay anyway because they cheat!

I'm sure Bush and his family know whereof they speak; about cheating on taxes, that is.

And then he trots out, of all people, Mrs. Laura Bush, MD, PhD., to refute all these Nobel Laurelate scientists, who say stem cell research offers hope for people with many diseases. They're just getting people's hopes up, Dr. Bush says. OK, we should all give up on this, because Laura Bush says so. That has to be too funny. 64% of the people support stem cell research, but Bush can't change his policy, because he is beholden to all the religious reactionaries.

This on top of his definite statement of what we already knew: that Bush and Co. "work day and night to find new ways to harm the country and the American people."

How can a guy who makes such gaffes as this, have the support of more than 40% of Americans? A president who follows the most blundering, terrible, stupid military strategy in the history of the USA, if not the world? Who needlessly starts wars based on lies, and converts a $200 budget surplus into a $500 billion deficit in 3 years?

WASHINGTON(AP) - President Bush offered up a new entry for his catalog of "Bushisms" on Thursday, declaring that his administration will "never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people."

Bush misspoke as he delivered a speech at the signing ceremony for a $417 Billion defense spending bill.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said.

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we." (Whaaaaat???)

No one in Bush's audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs reacted...
