Guidelines for potential guests on Mystic Musings:
If you are an author, lecturer, teacher, expert practitioner, social activist, prophet, mystical and/or new age artist or musician, deep thinker and/or researcher, and you would like to share your ideas with our audience, contact me for an interview. Here are a few guidelines:
- Keep in mind what we do on Mystic Musings. Quoting from my KKUP web page:
"Many times in the final hour I feature an interview with a philosopher, mystic, psychic, musician, or scholar who has ideas to share in the mystic realm. I call it "Mystic Musings." We deliberately explore territory that conventional wisdom considers "offbeat and unscientific", yet on the cutting edge of the mysteries of life. We explore topics ranging from religion, holistic health, mysticism, cultural history, human evolution, new science, the occult, witchcraft, astrology, and ESP, to political topics affecting our "mystic" quality of life such as ecology, peace and social justice, and futuristic visions for the new age. We talk about how music, the other creative arts, and recovering our own creative purpose and self-possession from the clutches of conformity, are all crucial to our health and fulfillment as individuals and as a society. We aren't afraid to tackle such subjects as UFOs and ETs, life after death, reincarnation, angels, spirits and spiritual dimensions. We aren't afraid to ask tough questions, some of which are supplied by our lively callers."
- I am less interested in what most interviewers want; namely, guests who offer self-help and personal advice. As we are non-commercial and don't have to appeal to the market, we can afford to talk about ideas and explore the frontiers of knowledge.
- I prefer in-person interviews, as it facilitates better communication. But if that is not possible I also do phone interviews if the guest or guest's publisher will pay for the call.
- If you would like a TAPE of your show, bring or send a tape!
If you think you've got the "stuff" to be an illustrious Mystic Musings or Mystic Music guest, I look forward to hearing from you!
