After several years of trying to figure out what I wanted to be when I grew up, changing careers a few times, being a stay-at-home mom, being an AmeriCorps volunteer, and most recently working part time as an administrative assistant, I am now a student of the Landscape Horticulture program at Merritt College in Oakland. For the last couple of semesters I've been studying basic horticulture, propagation, horticultural therapy, and aesthetic pruning. This semester, Fall 2005, I started learning tree information. So, as a way to share info with classmates, I'm putting the tree identification images I've been collecting here on the website. Look for the botanical names and common names to make your way around this piece of the site.
